What is Search Engine Optimization (SEO)?
SEO is improving the visibility of your website on search engines. Google and other search engines look at the content of pages on your website and compare it to the search term that someone enters. If it thinks your page is relevant, Google shows your website. Likewise, if the content on your page isn’t relevant to the search, it isn’t going to show-up. You can have an amazing product or service, but if no one can find it you can’t sell, so it’s important to have experienced copywriting and SEO on your website.
Does SEO matter for Google Ads and Paid Search?
SEO still matters for Google Ads, in a couple different ways. If your landing page is not relevant to the keywords you want to bid on, Google penalizes you by not showing ads consistently for that keyword–That means that the same strategies to improve SEO also improve your Google Ads performance. Additionally, SEO helps lead to more organic conversions and sales, just from people searching and finding your business. The better performance you can get for free, the less you may need to spend in Google Ads or the better we can consolidate your budget to what matters most.
How do I improve SEO?
Back in the day, SEO used to be mostly about keywords. Now search engine optimization has become more structural in nature. As Google and other search engines have gotten smarter, they pay attention to the purpose of each page on your website. Ensure that each page has a clear purpose is critical for good SEO.
